no m8 holes, no reference groove on the l/h end, splines a tad too square and not enouhg of a lead on the splines to make fitting the ARB end plate/levers on any easier?if so then yeah sounds the same as all the ones i've seen, could be much better, especially when the same manufacturers turn out torsion bars. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

Pictures hereIt's supposed to be thinner at one end than the other - that's why it's a hybrid size! The larger size is the original size of the bar and it is then machined to achieve the correct size and profile. ________________________________________ Rich |

Chris I think it was me that sold it to you and it's a hybrid bar which means two sizes, one end is turned down so it fits through the trailing arm as rich said. Welshpug is correct the splines are a bit to square which means it needs a whack to fit but I've sold loads with no problems. The only thing to point out is Each end has a different number of splines so that you can have almost infinite adjustment of alignment from one lever end to the other. The simplest way is to gently fit each end using the floor to see when it lines up. If not rotate each end one spline and try again. 32 options I think. Then try it on you car before you knock an end on because the trailing arms may not be perfectly in line anyway. When you are sure it is in line make sure you fit the lever end on the fattest end of the bar first or you won't be able to fit it to the car! |
