TAKE THE BRACE OFF AND THE WASHERS NOW!!!
Take the plates off aswell, they do nothing to strengthen unless welded on
Take it all off and start again!, JUST using the strut brace.

hmm thatis odd!!but dont run the brace like that! you will do more harm than good. you now all the forces tranmitted through the suspension focused on the three points of the bolts, rather than being spread out!!! how long are the bolts you have in now?? |

how thick are the plates?if a 25 is too short and a 30 is too lonh with out the washer thats its connecting the spring pan then you have problems!! as there is no way that plate and the strutbrace plus washers have added a whole 1cm to the thickness of the area!! |

I don't get this surely if the bolts are too long just put washers under the head of the bolt?, which will shorten the length of thread between the strut brace and the top mount?, or cut the bolts?________________________________________ Team Supercharged Gti-6™ |

You should still have washers under the head of the bolts |
