theyre both good, but 106 are smaller and a bit more nimble imo. just as quick as each other to 60-70. Very good track cars and good power can be made with little money spent, ie breathing mods can see you at 140-150bhp.________________________________________ 309 GTi6-T |

naah, best to stick to the TU5J4 the engine bay isn't big enough and is the wrong shape for a gti6, even though a few cars have had it bodged in. they sound epic on bodies. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

just think about gear box and drive shaft problems when you have a 106, other than thet there excelent little cars. i them, hard to chose between the both i think________________________________________ Clicky: click here remove the space between [url & = |

gearbox and driveshafts arnt really a problem aslong as you dont go around revving the tits off it in first gear everywhere. until you hit 170-180bhp theres no need to upgrade. and yes, tu engines do sound epic on bodies.this is my bros (rajjinator) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mletb_b0UAY best skipping to about 2 mins ________________________________________ 309 GTi6-T |

Having owned a few 306s and driven several vts/106gti id go for 306.306 plus points imo *higher top speed, great engine note *feels more stable at speed *better pedal position *better compromise as a track/road car/more space more comforts- was 18grand plus. Not a tin can. *Safer i would have guessed The saxo/106 costs less to maintain/upgrade,(306 common for matrix, rads and timing belts), although i see them with more beam wear. Very fast acceleration off the line, give you lot of confidence on the twisties. Both have poor gear changes, the 6 speed is awful when cold but is much better for high engine speed gear changes, as well as stronger diff/driveshafts. |

Putting out 121hp in the engine and 150nm, it's faster than a orginal 306 gti-6 and 205 mi16. Im using the 1,3 rallye gearbox so it runs out at 192km/h Not so nervouse on the backend like the 205 or 306. Go for the 106 ________________________________________ Peugeot 306 Dimma CoupƩ. |

I would choose the 6 every time as it's been said on previous occasions it feels more grown-up at the side of the 106 nice cars and I would own one again for fun,but given a choice 306 also it's harder to press both the break and accelerator in a 6 ________________________________________ Proud Member of the ASTOR Owners Club |

106 gti is probably a bit better for the track price wise. Youll have lots of fun in both though. The MA box is the weakpoint, if you dont drive like a sausage though its not too bad. Its standing starts etc that tend to cause the problems. Fitting BE box is £££ at the moment so isnt that common of a upgrade, hopefully the adapters will get cheaper eventually though! |
