Hey guys, had a few worrying but also confusing symptoms recently. Main one is cold starting, at idle it runs fine but as soon as the engine's under load it splutters as if starved of fuel until the engine's warm, most noticeably when going round corners bizarrely. At first i thought head gasket but there's no steam at startup, no mayo in the oil/coolant, no loss of coolant or visible leaks.

Any suggestions? Thinking maybe lambda or another sensor, and i know i have TPS issues at the minute from the off-throttle "jerking"

Going to get it compression tested at the weekend but tbh with no other symptoms than cold starting weirdness i don't think it's that personally... Least i hope not...

**EDIT** as a side note it seems to be since i changed the plugs (Bosch ones) and advanced the timing. Didn't do it straight away, only after 4 or 5 weeks, so points to a wear and tear component maybe, like duff plugs?

Lambda would make sense, when they fitted the decat they used the original lambda and it's been popping and banging and shooting out the odd flame recently, possibly blew the lambda to bits?

Didn't Ph1's suffer with fuel starvation when going round corners if the fuel level was low? Something to do with the design of the tank.

Does it only do it when you are low on fuel?

Agree, try temp sensor first, think it's about £17 so fairly cheap....

If no joy, go for the lambda. Yes

Stan.
