Open the door with the key. Put the key in the ignition, turn to accessories and push the ultrasonics button on the column. Alarm will then disarm. Oh, and use search! ________________________________________ Trackday, trackday, trackday |

Ok, re-opening this thread; I bought this car, all is fine; the fobs all work at locking/unlocking the car, but when I lock it, it the hazards dont flash at all, implying afaik that the immobiliser isnt coming on?Any ideas? I have tried switching to accessories and holding the ultrasonic button on the side of the steering column but it doesnt seem to do anything... ________________________________________ '97 Black Dturbo 110,000miles: SOLD'99 Ph3 Diablo Gti6 108k RIP '93 106 1.5n/a d: daily hack YAAAAAWN '00 Ph3 Astor GTi6 117k |

You need to press the small button to activate the alarm and make the hazards flash. The immobiliser comes on as soon as you withdraw the key from the ignition.________________________________________ S Reg Diablo standardsSpec SORNEDR Reg Nile standard spec written off then repaired X Reg Astor in need of TLC R Reg Nile to restore Set of Lions to fit. |

Right, I didn't explain it very well at all, apologies.Basically, its ph3, so when I press the little button it unlocks, when i press the big button once, it locks, and when I press it a second time within 5secs of locking, it 'deadlocks'. Now, when I unlock the car, the hazards flash, but when I lock the car, they dont flash... I've tried leaving a window open and poking my hand in after a minute of locking to set the alarm off with no joy; no hazards and no alarm coming on... Does anyone have any ideas at all? Its not a huge problem, but it niggles me and I'd feel a bit better parking it up if I knew the alarm was fully working... ________________________________________ '97 Black Dturbo 110,000miles: SOLD'99 Ph3 Diablo Gti6 108k RIP '93 106 1.5n/a d: daily hack YAAAAAWN '00 Ph3 Astor GTi6 117k |

Just a thought, does it beep when you deadlock it? If so check the boot switch is working. |

Nope, no beeps when locking or unlocking... POssibly a very silly question, where is the boot switch?! ________________________________________ '97 Black Dturbo 110,000miles: SOLD'99 Ph3 Diablo Gti6 108k RIP '93 106 1.5n/a d: daily hack YAAAAAWN '00 Ph3 Astor GTi6 117k |

Mine is a phase 2 and if the boot isn't shut properly then it beeps if you set the alarm (I've never unlocked it with the boot not shut properly so no idea whether it beeps or not in this case). I don't know where the switch is but I guess it will either be part of the lock catch or a separate push switch that the boot presses in when it's closed. |

Hmmm, I can fully lock mine wiht the boot open... God dammit, the french couldn't just build them all the same could they?! Each one has its own electrical problems, and none of them have the same set of symptoms! Grr Any other suggestions anyone? ________________________________________ '97 Black Dturbo 110,000miles: SOLD'99 Ph3 Diablo Gti6 108k RIP '93 106 1.5n/a d: daily hack YAAAAAWN '00 Ph3 Astor GTi6 117k |

Mine will fully lock - it just beeps if the boot is open and the indicators don't flash until you shut the boot. |

Actually thinking about it, it's more than likely my alarm siren is buggered, and the boot catch is a bit sticky... I'll investigate tomorrow evening and report back If you lock the car with the boot open, you say it beeps and the hazards dont flash. If you then unlock it, do the hazards flash then? Mine do flash when unlocking, just not when locking... ________________________________________ '97 Black Dturbo 110,000miles: SOLD'99 Ph3 Diablo Gti6 108k RIP '93 106 1.5n/a d: daily hack YAAAAAWN '00 Ph3 Astor GTi6 117k |

Tried it tonight and it doesn't beep if you unlock it with the boot already open. There is a push switch just to the left of the boot catch on the boot, this seems to be what the alarm uses to determine if the boot is open or not. |

Lance, could you possibly post/link a photo of the alarm keyswitch under the bonnet? I had a brief look half an hour ago and couldn't identify what I'm looking for... All wiring seems to be as it should though...@ mwl001; I've had a peek at the bootswitch too; visually its fine; not sticking or anything. Ill double check its working electrically when I can grab a minute over the weekend. Did your hazards flash when you locked with the boot open? ________________________________________ '97 Black Dturbo 110,000miles: SOLD'99 Ph3 Diablo Gti6 108k RIP '93 106 1.5n/a d: daily hack YAAAAAWN '00 Ph3 Astor GTi6 117k |

thats the link i just got so copy and paste it and it will work, so when you get to that key switch follow the wires and look for some cut then re connected as people do it to disable the alarm if they hve lost the key or just to silence the noise, and just to let ya know when i look mycar the hazards come on for around 2 seconds then go out then when i unlock the hazards flash for around 3 secs, hope this helps. |

Problem understood now if not solved! Apparently the immob doesn't work if the ecu is unlocked? :________________________________________ '97 Black Dturbo 110,000miles: SOLD'99 Ph3 Diablo Gti6 108k RIP '93 106 1.5n/a d: daily hack YAAAAAWN '00 Ph3 Astor GTi6 117k |
