Right, I am trying to get everything sorted so I can finally get my throttle bodies fitted. I think I have everything I need except a solution for the coilpacks.

I have a DTA ECU and loom (older style, but manages fuel and ignition), but it doesn't seem to have wiring for single coil packs.

Can anyone recommend a dizzy/coilpack configuration that I could use? and ideally, where I can source it from.

Thanks Cheers

Cheers Steve Thumbs up

Sorry, that was worded badly. I'm sure it can run a single coil pack, but I meant it can't run single coil packs x4 (if that makes sense) LOL

I don't have much knowledge on the loom, but that's my fault for rushing in and buying second hand Blush

I will take a look at your project thread.

I'd contact DTA and ask them. I know some coilpacks don't work the same as others and you don't want to damage the ECU.

Using a stadard 8v coil pack off the TU engine in mine, no problems. I also have a DTA ECU with ITB's. I bought some new leads from here:

http://www.performanceleads.co.uk/

Not too pricey and are painted blue so look good under the engine cover, too. Oddly on their website they have leads listed specifically for a GTi-6/Rallye model, even though the standard car doesn't use them.

Just on that website now, which ones did you buy? (what model corsa)

I may buy some off ebay as Steve has suggested. Getting this done has been more costly that I thought, so cheaper the better LOL

Use a std 16v one, You just have to trim a few bits off to get it to fit but looks a hole load neater and no plug leads either, It works just as the normal coil pack

I got one of those from Miles but decided against fitting it as I didn't want to chop anything from the head and it would have been a pain to take off with the strut brace on. Ended up going with the Corsa coilpack and HT leads

This is what I've done .

I used a Powerfile from Black & Decker to adjust & make fit ...looks amazing but I wouldn't want to file by hand Thumbs down .

I just made the Oil cap cutout bigger & apart from that you can't tell the difference when fitted from standard Thumbs up

The reason I didn't want to do it on mine is that it's a Longmans ported and polished head. Cutting off all of a few of the tabs to hold individual coilpacks on reduces the resale value / opportunity slightly as you couldn't use it with standard coilpacks.

So did you leave the original cover on the pack and mod that to fit?

I know on my 306 that miles fitted the bodies to a few years ago that had a xsi coil but it sat under the original cover so must of had the original cover etc removed.

My manifold is due tomorrow so prob start fitting over the weekend

I'm using the standard single coil packs on mine using a DTA S60 Pro ECU.

Can you not use the standard engine loom and add/remove parts you need or don't need for the ITB conversion?
