This will prob been covered befor but I'm in Germany and in a rush! My car only sits at max 110 water temp but every time I stop it p*sses water out the over flow pipe on the expansion tank! It's took 4 litres in 4 days! The cap fell to bits in my hand today so could that be the problem? Cheers matt |

If it isn't sealing properly then it won't be holding the pressure and will be boiling. Otherwise it's a pretty safe bet at HG failure.________________________________________ Seat Leon Cupra FR / 306 GTI6 / Breaking 205 GTI6 / Caterham 7 / Mercedes Sprinter 311CDI LWB Sold: Fisher Fury - Laguna DCI Estate - P1 306 XSI - E30 BMW 325i Baur Convertible - Daihatsu Fourtack - Suzuki GSXR600 - 205 Rallye |

Well if the cap was f**ked then that could be ur prob because it builds up preasure n could have been leaking badly. Have you checked for water spillage around the rad?________________________________________ cherry p1.....SOLD (regreting this)blaze p2.....why did i buy this SOLD Black p3 |

I had a similar thing with mine when I 1st got it. All it was tho is when I had topped the water up I put it right up to the neck and the cap wasn't sealing properly so when the car got hot in traffic it p*ssed out coolant at the overflow. This happens because if the cap isn't sealed properly the coolant system wont pressurise and therefore the water will start to evaporate at 100C and come firing out the overflow and will boil the head if you dont deal with it ASAP (well I say firing but it wasn't to bad. You'd get a small puddle.).SO I put another cap on and topped the water back up. I lost half a litre if that at 1st and it settled and has been fine since. ________________________________________ |
