hi guys i recently had an oil change to shel helix plus 10-40.. but it is getting really hot fast, even a little blast in 3rd and the oil temp jumps up over 90 degrees and keeps goin higher, before i had the oil change i could blast for a while before the oil temp goes up.

also it has started tapping very loudly when the oil temp gets warm and taps very loud when the oil is at 90 or over. Does anybody know if its the oil just too thin, or is it more serious? thanks guys

"Sounds" like you have a big end or main bearing issue....

what are the normal signs for big end or bearing failure?
i still have the gti6 power.lol but when ever the oil gets hot it starts tapping, very noticable at just over 3k revs, when engines cold in the mornings it sounds normal, im changing the oil tomorrow hopefully that will quiten it down
