Drives fine but when it gets to 3-4k the power is pretty much non existant.
What does that mean?

Clutch on the way out? Blowing exhaust? Those are the obvious things that come to mind.________________________________________ Racing driver, fighter pilot, astronaut, compulsive liar. |

exhaust isn't blowing and the clutch is OK.It's as if it comes on cam, then does the opposite of what you'd expect. ________________________________________ cress87 wrote: I'm stopped for speeding on a daily basis but now the police are aware that I live for the 306 they dare not interfere, just sit in their cars quaking as I drive past. |

Haven't checked anything yet, couldn't find the bolts for the cyclones I have to change the wheels over so I gave up and came home.I'm hoping it's just because it's been stood. It's like it's being restricted or something, once it starts climing the revs the roar kinda dies. ________________________________________ cress87 wrote: I'm stopped for speeding on a daily basis but now the police are aware that I live for the 306 they dare not interfere, just sit in their cars quaking as I drive past. |

Mainly bodywork mate, but I did f*ck around with the oil cooler and kinda fill the engine with water, but that's been cleaned up now and it's all flushed out/oil is clean. ________________________________________ cress87 wrote: I'm stopped for speeding on a daily basis but now the police are aware that I live for the 306 they dare not interfere, just sit in their cars quaking as I drive past. |

Exhaust that has decided to corrode internally while not in trafic?, destroyed cat?If it was not like that when put to "rest" and was like that instantly when woken up, i would not think it is the cat though. That usually happens during driving if you have ignitionfault mainly. ________________________________________ Member of Peugeot Sport Club Swedenhttp://www.peugeot-sport-club.com/ My son: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jzjSBKkMHDA |

If it was pumping oil out the inlet (you are a tool for overfilling it that badly) then it's likely some was going down the exhaust too, a cat blocked with oily shite probably would'nt flow too well I guess causing a big loss of power. ________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. Taken the cover off and 3 out of 4 of the things that plug onto the spark plugs sofar, will get them all out and cleaned as that's what was up with his.Engine made no noises previous to this and has shown no issues before now apart from the lack of power after 3-4k. Fingers crossed, if not it's getting dropped in to be rebuilt monday ________________________________________ cress87 wrote: I'm stopped for speeding on a daily basis but now the police are aware that I live for the 306 they dare not interfere, just sit in their cars quaking as I drive past. |

Not likely to be the plugs then? I haven't got all of them out yet will probably finish it tomorrow night then test. The one in the video was fixed by cleaning the spark plugs etc. What doesn't make much sense is it's been started loads/driven a bit and it has never been apparent before. Worst case scenario I get it trailered to the garage tuesday and ask them to fix it ________________________________________ cress87 wrote: I'm stopped for speeding on a daily basis but now the police are aware that I live for the 306 they dare not interfere, just sit in their cars quaking as I drive past. |

It may be when the accident originally happened the crank was low on oil and now it's all put back together it's picked up and spun a shell?I am sure the garage will point you in the right direction though, fingers crossed for you mate.
