Kent PT81's if the head hasn't been skimmed, but you'll need to time them up carefully to make sure you don't exceed the maximum lift available at TDC.________________________________________ Rich |

have a search and you will see there isnt much cam choice available with standard pistons and without taking the head off you arent sure if it hasnt had a skim. Get some decent pistons in there and do it right ________________________________________ 230 hp 2.1 16v XU 205 rallye on jenveys Project thread here309 3dr K20 Type R |

iirc btcc inlets are designed for high powered engines and no good on standard (ish) lumpsa set of cams and a remap from say chipwizards may see you in the mid 180's. ________________________________________ 230 hp 2.1 16v XU 205 rallye on jenveys Project thread here309 3dr K20 Type R |

as Daveyboy found IIRC, a BTCC inlet will lose some torque midrange, they were made to suit sustained high revs with long duration cams, not what you'd find from a mildly modified road engine. you'd be much better off retaining a 100% standard inlet manifold, OR getting a proper set of throttle bodies. best bet if you can't afford a decent set of pistons is to have the cutouts made deeper, Martin (CRF450) and sandy brown can get this done. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

yupif you stick a set of cams in an unknown engine the pistons can eaasily be kissing the valves, you probably wont even notice for a while but you will soon find out! costing you more in the long run. if you are looking at having your standard pistons machined best to pick up another set, have them done and swap them over. all can be done without removing the engine if needs be. ________________________________________ 230 hp 2.1 16v XU 205 rallye on jenveys Project thread here309 3dr K20 Type R |
