Today my car got just under the red on the temp gauge. I quickly turned it off and waited for it too cool and checked the coolant level which was good but had a fair bit of pressure in it.
I started it up and again and the tempature carried on rising towards the red even with the fans on so i felt the rad and it was pretty cold apart from at the very bottom and the heaters were blowing pretty cold even on hot, it was pretty dark but i took the bleed screw off the bulkhead and all that was coming out of that was steam also the top rad hose felt empty Crazy any help would great cheers

Sounds like there's an airlock in your coolant system.

Follow the guide in the FAQ section for how to bleed the system (might be listed under radiator change)

Make sure you use some decent coolant in these hot temperatures.
