I couldn't put them up as I dont know how to, but those are links. I uploaded them to skydrive.

You can see the slightly blurred one is the spline part that sits in the bracket, I chopped it with a grinder as I needed to get it off and I was losing my temper, so I stopped!

the spline part is part of the front flexi hose from the caliper so you'd need a new front flexi, and then have to make a new section up for the bit it connects to (square U shaped which you've cut). you could join them together using couplers and a flaring tool like a Sealy one and a short section of like copper/kunifer pipe, you have a couple of options really. i never like joining brake pipes together and would probably prefer to replace the full pipe using new pipe

ok mate thanks. Ive got a new flexi sat here.

I think there's enough pipe to flare it and fit to the flexi on the bracket.

I'll give that a crack with either a flaring tool if I can get one cheap or Ill roll it to a brake shop nearby.

I argee, joining a brake line is just a bad idea.

Don't understand how anyone thought it would be good to use a soft metal for a retained fitting and a hard metal for a replacable part like a flexi hose connector.

Thanks heaps dude
