I spent a bit of time this evening offering up my new (2nd hand) Hi Spec brakes, I've Had the adapters modified with stainless thread inserts as the standard thread is just into the alloy, got some nice new braided pipes (cheers mrswampy). Near side is all done and bled, I'll be fitting the o/s tomorrow. Fingers crossed I notice a difference. They are cirtainly a lot lighter - I'll weigh the other side before I fit them.

You'll notice the weight more if the disc has got lighter, especially turn in.

I am using HiSpecs own 1 piece grooved disc and tbh they look a bit shit but they are a different offset to the 6 disc. Anyone know if they are the same dimensions as an OE disc?

4mm shallower on the offset, weighed the calipers today and the oe calipers are 3kgs each heavier than the HiSpecs!
