I have a Remus muffler and it sounds amazing. Sounds a bit Lower than the standard silencer but when the rounds increases over 4000 rpm it sounds great. Not too loud or quiet. Really good quality. I recommend! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ndGwPRcgWw&translated=1 |

There's two versions for the 306 - one for the non-GTi and one specifically for the GTi.I have the non-GTi model on my GTi. It's the smaller oval one. It sounds great - deeper burble at idle than the standard box, doesn't drone, but it can get a little loud perhaps when the revs go past 3k and/or if the car is made to labour more. Some/many will love this. The GTi version is slightly larger and is a trapeziodal shape. It's also slightly quieter than the smaller one due to more baffling and inner dimensions better tuned to the resonance of the GTi exhaust requirements. Both perform very well on the GTi with no loss of torque, etc. The GTi version, from a sound perspective, sits between the stock system and the smaller non-GTi Remus muffler, giving a sportier note than standard but a little quieter than the smaller non-GTi one. ________________________________________ '99 306Gti |

I've got the Gti 6 Remus back box quality bit of kit it's got a lovely tone. mates say its nice and raspy (got a straight through mild mid pipe) on full throttle. Use the 6 to commute and if you sit at the right rev's in 6th and you wouldn't even know you had a sport exhaust. Drop it down a couple, put your foot down and I love it to bits. I'm 99% sure it's a reverse flow like the original pug box. Paid around 260 for it tho, I'll try and find the link and put it up. |
