hello
seems the best place to ask, ive had my 306 for about 2 year since the start ive always manually opened the doors and just recently found the key fob for it but the button is missing.

now ive took it apart the batteries are in the back there was a bit of paper with numbers on it everything looks okay on the circuit board thing, only thing obviously missing is the button how does it work? can i not replace the batteries and still use it without the button on?

any help welcome cheers

When you say the button, do you just mean the rubber button cover? It's quote common for these to wear through so don't think you're alone.

Also, is this a Phase 2 infra-red, or Phase 3 radio frequency key? Not that it necessarily makes a difference.

In principle, yes, you just replace the battery and it should work. You might need to 're-code' it to the car, following the instructions in the FAQ section of the forum or the owners manual.

There should be a button mounted on the circuit board! The rubber cover is nothing more than that; just a cover
