Ok will do, i'm a little doubtful though.

They were squealing before without copper slip, then copper slipped them and it got even worse... How does that work LOL

I tried Ferodo and Mintex pads on my 205 GTI. Which ran Hi-Spec 4 pots and 280mm grooved discs.
I can't say that one was better than the other in terms of squeal.
With regard to feel and stopping power, the Mintex 1144s were absolutely my favourite. A fantastic all round pad.
I got around the squealing by making some stainless steel plates. I placed them behind each pad, which stopped the noise and had the added benefit of stopping heat transfer into the caliper.

Bulls, my 1144s arrived earlier than expected. I hadn't got round to ordering the Certec. Can I fit them with Copperslip then apply ceratec when it arrives?

i have ds2500s fitted now courtesy or stealthsport.co.uk

i find the initial bite at high speed is better than mintex, but i suffered with fade that i diddnt get with the mintex.
but then the ferodos were being used at rockingham and not brands hatch like the mintex were what may explain it.

also with the squeel , if you thoroughly clean the caliper you shouldnt get any squeel. No

im only getting a little squeel since FCS but a thorough clean out will solve it Yes

Really, never experienced fade with them, even on trackdays lap after lap, did you bed them in ok?

The only real issue is the cold braking performance as Phil said, they need a little heat to really perform well.

bedding is wise i diddnt get a chance to properly heatcycle so had to do gentle breaking on the way to fcs .
was about 90 miles Yes

they performed well i must say, i was very heavy on on them on the hairpin after the main left hander , thats where the fade happened.

all in all though id definatly recommend them to anyone.

they are good pads, but i happened to have a little fade on my 2nd consecutive session towards end,
seing as i was going over 100mph to nothing quite a few times in the space of 10 mins , i dont think its bad at all.

fletch. i changed my fluid before i went to FCS, its was stardard dot4, i think some better quality fluid with higher boiling point may of helped. Yes
the fade tbh may have even been my brakes boiling up Dunno
