A few pople on here have these fitted, Miles has one in his race car so it can't be bad, I have one too but I never got around to installing it yet. From what I remember the only issue seems to come from getting the grub screws tight enough on the gear stick not to slip under enthusiastic driving and problems removing the plastic balljoint on the stick. Apart from that, they seem fine ________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. I sell new and used welding equipment in the Hampshire area. I have one of these fitted. It did take a while but the main reasons for that was getting the clearance to the heat shield correct (I ended up using a spacer where the heat shield bolts up to).Removing the plastic ball joint is easy if you have an angle grinder, guess it would be harder using a hack saw! As for the grub screws, I drilled small holes into the stick for them to locate in (once I knew where they were going). Other people have used chemical metal to fix in place but I wanted to be able to remove easily if required. Does make a lot of difference to the feel of the change, a lot more positive. ________________________________________ Chris - Phase 3 Moonstone GTi 6 |
