hi peoples.

im having issues trying to put the top nut on, when i try the whole shaft spins round.
it says on the suspension not to use grips!

would i get away with using grips or fit them on with them not done up and with the pressure will go?

any advice on this please.

thanks
ken

Fit them, get some weight on them, try again.
If that doesn't work you'll want to grab the shaft with a rubber strap wrench, or very carfully with a couple of bits of thick cardboard in the jaws of some mole grips.
If you mark the shaft the oil and gas will p*ss out every time it goes through the seal

Yeah it should have an allen key hole in the top i would have thought. Can just use a swan next spanner and a torque wrench to do it up then Yes

Depends if they're adjustable coilovers?

An air impact gun usually does the trick to get going as its easier to spin the nut than the whole shaft, but I'm not sure if your adjuster is too big to get a socket over?
