aye but that seems a bit dodgy, its like that on the be1 and they sometimes fall out lol.

just been speaking to my dad as hes top notch engineer and says he will get me some spring dowels tommorow for the pivots, and then i just need to knock the rest up at uni on monday from some steel billet Smile

o btw, its designed to bolt to the 2 holes that are left in the casing where the hydraulic arm went in, so 2 bolts into cast casing will probably be ok id have thought?

Surely it would be easier to make something like the assembly in the pic I posted than to custom make a manual attachment for the box?

I will give you a BE3 clutch fork to adapt, and if it helps I will help you make the assembly.

the actual assembly maybe, but i dont really understand how they have done that in that diagram. looks like they have just used a wilwood cylinder or something so would require hydraulics anyway..

I'm in most days. It literally is a wilwood cylinder, some pipework and connected to the peugoet piston. Admittedly I have no idea how you would bleed that system but that seems to be the easiest method. Surely someone sells some flexi hose that you just bolt to each part.

IIRC Carl's rallye has this set up on it. (I know I've seen a pic of it somewhere)

wilwood cylinders aren't expensive, and a BE3 clutch fork will not fit.

do the job properly, why in gods name do you want a cable and hydraulic. Its no easier by the time it keeps breaking, bending, flexing, falling to bits and looking bloody horrible Crazy

Surely a BE3 fork will quite happily mate to a BE3 cable? It was for the adapter not the actual box [extended by the correct length to depress the wilwood cylinder].

cable doesnt attach to the fork, it attaches to the lever arm.

but like Jonnie said, if you have the time I would go for the hydraulic setup, far simpler than trying to calculate all the different lever ratios and trying to make something strong enough, AND make it fit tidily.

depends how much space you have, pull type may place it too low, push type if there's space will sit up above the pivot.

is there enough space for that given that they sit right against the bulkhead?

not sure, as its a bolt in pedal i can move it fowards a little bit, and if still isnt enough room ill have to cut a hole in bulkhead and stick it through and seal round the edge or something.

Hi bobdylan,

You can easily do it (well with about 10 hours tinkering) with a 205 BE3 arm and cable, using the standard pedal. Mine is now working perfectly.

Basically you pin the clutch bearing lever to the rod, make the rod a bit longer and punch a hole in the top nylon bush so it sticks out. Weld an arm on to that and then fix the end of the clutch cable to the engine, so the cable outer moves the clutch arm.

I've just tried to take a decent photo but its not happening at the moment - too many things in the way...
