The ONLY way to go faster on the cheap is to reduce weight, ditch all uneccessary garbage from your car and fuel the obsessive addiction that is the equivalent of anorexia for cars. Soon you will be trying to decide if you really do need all four wheel bolts to hold on those magnesium rims you bankrupted yourself for...

Not a great deal really.

Don't take this the wrong way, but don't start modifying until you have the funds to support it Yes

It's an expensive hobby, and gets worse as you go.

Also, as I have found, the cash you get saved up for modifying will usually get eaten up by things that break and general servicing.

last time i went drag racing i took the back seats and spare wheel out, and put 195/50s on the front. the difference in acceleration was unbelievable for how little i'd done. no good for the ¼ mile though there's too much wheelspin in 1st

remove the sun visors and place them under the seats, lowers the centre of gravity and is good for an extra 10mph round any corner, especially the entrance to the maccy d's drive thru Wink

The engines on the 6 are pretty good to start with, and expensive to make worthwhile improvements to (cams/Sc etc)

I would follow the advice to make your car lighter, improve suspension parts and get some lighter weight wheels with good quality tyres.

Moving down to 50 profile tyres on 15" rims give you a 5-10% reduction in gearing, which give an improvement in aceleration, if you can get the power down without spinning.

Also look at some driver training days where you can push your car hard and find your own driving limits safely. These are from
