May sound like a stupid question, want to change my oil pipes over to red silicone ones, but would i need to drain the oil out or could i just do a straight swap?________________________________________ 98 onyx black 306 Rallye53 Nissan Primastar silver (work horse) 58 black Volvo c30 sport |

but in all fairness, why get brand new pipes and run the old oil? Do an oil change while you are at it ________________________________________ Team allesclar ® |

Which oil pipes??? You would only need to drain them if they were lower than the oil level in the sump, and I can't think off hand there are any on the Gti6 engine Before you go buying silicon pipe you do realise you can't use normal silicone for oil breathers/drains or fuel???? It will break the silicone down, and you will end up with lumps of it in your sump, which will then block your oil pump pick up,bye bye engine If you do buy some it has to be flourosilicone lined pipe to stop the oil breaking it down Very expensive compared to normal silicone pipe ________________________________________ Red GTB1756 powered Fabia VRS daily driver,LBSC Gti6 eater........Mac1 ZR R1 kit car build in progress. |

Just looked on Spoox site, that kit looks well to be fair.I Forgot about the big pipe to bottom of block!!! You would struggle with a length of straight pipe to get the shape correct I think. ________________________________________ Red GTB1756 powered Fabia VRS daily driver,LBSC Gti6 eater........Mac1 ZR R1 kit car build in progress. |
