ive managed to get a few hours today and wired and plumbed the boost gauge in fully, finished the slimline fans wiring and finished the tps wiring.
connection for boost gauge:

i drilled a hole through the bulkhead and also used lots of silicone sealer inside and out the car to stop any water getting through at all:

i think the gauge looks shit at night and i plan to change it, ill go get a pic tmmrw..

heres the finished throttle body wiring:

the thing with wiring is after you have done it you always think of a better way to route eg.

heres the fan wiring, i used some tiewraps with a clip on to hold to the body that i got from pug:

i need a bulb from behind the heater control panel, i cant find them at halfords, will this be a pug part?
coskev ive just remembered to looka at the matrix for you, do you still need me to look?
and i noticed these weird army looking moths having it up the arse the other day on my garage wall

brakes bled up using halfords racing fluid,it was not cheap either, i ran loads through aswell, gave the system a really good flush through, thanks to my lovely assistant katie. then refitted the strut brace.
philip m droplinks fitted

and got a pipe welded to the intercooler and a bead fitted on the other end,

its probably not noticable in the pictures but ive moved the intercooler towards the drivers side by about 6mm, and painted the brackets.
now ive got to go and collect the intercooler again as ive had the other side tacked on, got to check the angle is good to go up towards the charger outlet then take back and get welded up fully.
ordered some bulbs for the heater control panel and a new fag lighter also.
ive tried fitting a 16 row 235mm oil cooler but there isnt room with out cutting/ chopping and bashing and banging, and i dont really want to do that so ive got another plan for a 115mm 19 row cooler instead but thats at a later date after ive got her tested and insured.

thanks friar, yes i havent spared much on it thats why its taken me so long, but im getting impatient now.
boost pipes should be back tommorw, ive then got to mark a final position before welding onto the charger outlet and making another pipe up ready for welding. it would be nice top have the boost pipework fitted for the weekend, so ive been making some preparations today ready for starting, ive drained the fuel tank as its been sat in there for a while now, took 7 litres out, and i changed the fuel filter and fitted a new genuine filter strap, ive also drained the oil which looked proper clean anyway and changed the filter which was empty, must be as the cars been stood, it must of gone back down the sump.
ive fitted the new clock and heater panel bulbs and a new fag lighter, that all works good and now im trying to work out if ive missed connecting a plug behind the dash.

a few bits for the fuel supply, just need some fuel pipe and can get the swiwrl pot and bosch 044 plumbed in:

still no sign of my pipes yet, the welders been busy, and as i knocked him down a bit of money he probably hasnt put it top priority now :-(
looking at the new intank fuel pump it looks to me like the wiring is in submerged with the fuel Crazy , until i open tank and replace i wont know for sure though.
fixed my dash illumination problem out, was a missing fuse in the end.

got the intercooler back:

now if the pipe is welded on in exactly the right place and angle i marked it at then its finished and i can bolt it up for good but if it isnt then its going to fowl the rad pipe or oil filter or powersteering pump or alternatorLOL and will have to be cut off and redone :-( .

this is the pipe ive made out of 180 bend and some straight, its for the charger outlet and it took a bit of thinking to get it right, its 69 degrees:

this now needs a straight welding on it with a bead at the correct angle to eventually meet with the intercooler pipe with probably 2 silicon joins inbetween.

hi, i took your advice today and seeing the pipework coming closer cheered me up a bit, i was making real progress till charly told me hed put the poster up on the kitchen wall with this:

i then noticed one of the dogs had chewed up a full 20 pack of embassy no1`s and left me with 2 that wasnt chewed and soggy LOL .
anyway after trial fitting the bend ive made to go on the charger i wasnt too happy with the intercooler pipe i had welded on last, it just wasnt quite long enough, so i cut it in half, and cut up a load of different length pipes to try in, i first tried with a piece to lengthen it by 15mm, i taped it together to trial fit it:

it meets up like this:

after taping another piece to the charger bend it meets like this:

looks pretty good except the angle is wrong and it needs the gap closing up where the the silicon hose will go.
nice to see it coming together and now seems a lot clearer than when i first started with it.
the main thing i have to do now is get the angle right and theres loads of different ways i could do it but once ive done that i can mark it all up and take it for final welding.

right ive got my head around it now, ive worked out how im going to do it and have 1 pipe to cut at the meausrments ive worked out and then take for welding up.
it started out an impossibilty for me to work out and was so frustrating, now i actually enjoy it and could do it again easy.

im having a long pipe welded onto the charger bend and 1 hump connector, it will go right down near the power steering pump, the only way to fit charger would be to remove the rad, or atleast lean the rad back a little, but i wont have no silicon hose touching the small rad pipe or the p/s pump atleast, as i dont want to cut anymore of the outlet bend as the further into the bend you go the less round the pipe will be hence harder to weld nicely.

just got a pice to cut to fit in here:

annoying thing:

I'm using mikalor clamps for the silicones, i think there's a pic somewhere further up with some on near the inlet manifold.
I'm only having 3 silicon connectors, so 6 clamps, the rest is hardpiped

Car now has a working rear wiper motor and a new in tank fuel pump. The front wipers have decided to work properly now as before they stoop as soon as you turned them off, now they go back to rest position.
And I've put 40litres of v power in there, only says half a tank so i hope the new sender unit on the pump is ok.
