One of the lugs on the pressure plate has probably snapped off, that's exactly what mine sounded like when it went, which started this crazy project off, I removed the box and didn't stop, it's still ongoing now ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

I now have a 4 paddle with standard pressure plate, it feels awful and the pressure plate isn't strong enough, it was ok for 2-3 k but I noticed it slips sometimes now, it was ok until 1 day when setting off I went in 5th instead of 3rd and at that moment it slipped massively. I first thought it was wheelspin then I realised it was clutch slip and after letting power off I realised I was in 5th.The time the lug off the pressure plate snapped it sounded just as you described and although I couldn't feel any noticeable slip I noticed a massive drop in power, a week later from what i can remember the pedal went real soft and it started slipping bad, sorry no pics of that though. ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

I brought a paddle clutch with plate and cover for 350 from lark speed. A decent fit for the price and made a big difference. You got your panels sprayed yet andy? ________________________________________ 98 onyx black 306 Rallye53 Nissan Primastar silver (work horse) 58 black Volvo c30 sport |

I've been having trouble keeping the car cool at idle since fitting a large front mount had 2x10" spal fans on the front. Also tried with a 12" pull fan on the back which seemed to flow much better but still couldn't quite keep it cool. However I had blocked the heat exchanger pipes off and was using an xsi rad. I've put a brand new nissens rad in today and hopefully it will stay cool. Looped the exchanger pipes back together as well. Fingers crossed as it's doing my nut in now! And pugfest is 2 weeks away. ________________________________________ Black power baby! Well I went to halfords the other week and bought a litre of autoglymne bodywork shampoo conditioner.Opened it up yesterday and poured some into my bucket that was filling up and it seems I bought a litre bottle of water with a drop of the shampoo in, wondering if they had changed the formula I gave them a call she said the formula has not been changed and she would get back to me ASAP so while I waited for her to call me back I poured half a litre in the bucket and gave it a try, no suds, no smell, no soap. Ive bought a bottle of water There sending me another ive got to send it them back, out of all the bottles on shelf and all the thousands and thousands they batch I had to pick up the dud one! ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |
