Actually heres a link to a DIY refurb thats done almost the same as mine
M3Cutters Link
basically i did the same.
1. Wash down Wheel
2. NitroMors the laquer to the Diamond Cut Face ONLY (if you do get it on the Antracite part, dont panic, reb it off quickly) Its best to "stipple" it on with a small paint brush. This is the worst part, if you get all the laquer off its a pice of p*ss from there on
3. Once all laquer is removed, i started with 600 Grade Wet Dry Sandpaper and went through the whole wheel
4. Stepped it up to 800 Grade WD Sandpaper
5. Stepped it up to 1200 Grade Sandpaper
6. At this point the scratches from the sandpaper will very fine I suggest that you buy a Rotary Polisher if you dont have one, i used mine with the hardest sponge head i could get and some G3 Compound to fine polish / cut the scratches out.
7. Once you have worked the entire wheel it will be looking more like it should.
8. I then took a soft sponge head and covered it in Autosol and then worked the Autosol until i got my desired finish.
9. Clean entire wheel (do not use Acid based cleaner)
10. Stand back and look smug at your hard work
11. Try to regain feeling in your fingerprintless fingers
I hope this helps. My wheels have knowwhere near the shine in that link but they are vastly improved
and look a million times better than the flakey old ones
