I had steering wheel judder with the standard brakes and wheels. I then changed the wheels for brand new compo's which helped a little. I then upgraded to Carl's TVR brakes and the problem went away.

A few hundred miles later the problem has come back. It only seems to do it when braking lightly but the judder is quite excessive. Under hard braking it seems to be fine

i cant really see how you would warp a disc that is so fat

any ideas?

I had a similar thing when I upgraded to Ash's 330mm kit.

After changing my Wishbone bushes for Rich_W's Roller Bearing ones the problem disappeared.

I know Stan_306gti6 had the same problem, he also changed the bushes and the problem also disappeared.

I had this problem on gentle braking when my wishbone bush had snapped in half.

Maybe the bolts have come lose on the p bush and the bush is wobbling around when braking, worth a check.

Did you replace the bushes with standard ones?

I did this and the problem was still there, swapped them for Rich_W's solid ones and I've not had a problem since.

Just get a set of bushes from Rich, they last forever and really firm up the handling and get rid of the slack.

What are they like for fit-and-forget though? Don't they need regular greasing?

Not really, just do it when you do a service, no big deal.

^As above, not that hard to have a quick whip around with the grease gun when your giving the car a check over.

I had exactly the same problem. I bed the pads in but had not bed the rotors in first, so I had warped the rotors. Got them skimmed and then I ran the rotors in with only light breaking for 150 miles. They have been spot on since.
