When replacing the whole pipe, from pump to ram, how do you get the pipe at the pump end undone ?It is a solid pipe, but if I try to undo the nut then the pipe twists with it....any ideas ? |

You need to hold the bit next to the nut (pump side) with some mole grips, then use a spanner to undo the nut.I did it yesterday, had to get a mate to use the mole grips while I undid the nut, was a bit tight. What I could see was the pipe heading towards the pump, then a nut, then the thread and then a larger nut on the pump itself.I tried undoing the nut next to the pipe first but this didn't work, also tried holding the bottom bolt while undoing the top one and still the pipe twisted |

I had trouble with my PAS pipe, it turned fine on the thred but then got jammed with dirt so wouldt turn on the pipe if that makes sense but it was turning in the actual pump. As i was replacing the pipe as it was leaking i snaped the pipe off above the thread and then just undid it by hand. Im not sure if that makes sense. |

If the pipe is coming off then is it ok to snap it off and then not worry about it twisting ?Will I then be able to undo the nut etc to be able to put a new pipe on ? |

the pipe has a nut/thread thats part of the pipe which threads on the pipe and into the pump, if you have the new pipe to replace it with you can have a look.Don't snap it unless you are sure you have the parts to replace it. the pump should be left with just a threaded whole. It was my Dturbo which i replaced pipe on but i can't see there being any difference. Try and get some photos. |

Ok bare with me im not good at explaing. This is an image i can find thats closest to what i can explain. This has a thread on the inside aswell as the outside. Its part of the pipe not the pump. so if its loose in the pump and not on the pipe. What i did was snap the pipe and just undo it by hand as was seized on the pipe but loose in the pump. Does that make sense. Im not one for good description, im more of a being there and showing. |

So I could snap the pipe off just above the nut, then undo this part from the pump ? |

The large metal clamps/clips which join some of the rubber parts of the hose to metal parts, can these be undone and done up again easily enough ?They are pretty big, is it a special tool that you need |

I cnat say for saure without seeing wat you doin but if the pipe is knackered anyway and being replaced nothing lost by snapping it. And as for the high pressure crimp joints, ide replace the whole pipe as one unit metal and rubber bits. As you dont wnat to have further leaks in the futre. |

the ends that screw into the rack are exactly like a brake pipe union, and similarly they often seize onto the pipe giving the issue you are experiencing now.heat wont help I'm afraid, it may also damage the seals so I would avoid trying that. if you are replacing the pipe I would just cut them off as mentioned, and use a 6 sided socket on the union. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

Got the end off that goes into the rack, its the end that goes into the top of the pump that is seized and twisting the pipe |
