hi everyone i have just joined up maybe you can help me. i have just bought another 306 hdi and the gear ratios feel shorter than my old one. it seems to rev a lot higher than my old one on the motorway. my old car was a v reg 306 hdi 1997cc and my new one is an x reg 306 hdi also 1997cc. did they change the gearboxes on them. the one i have just bought does 70 at 3000 revs is this right.thanks gareth ________________________________________ gareth |

there is only 1 306 hdi box to my knowledge, and it's a popular upgrade to dturbo xud owners due to the shorter ratios. 70 is 2500 rpm in mine. It's possible it could be a hdi box from a heavier Car like an 806 but can't speak for those ratios.________________________________________ I'm Si btwNight Blue VW Golf GTD Bianca LBSC Rallye - Track/Road Slag Project Thread Sparkling Silver Mini Cooper D - Super Dooper - (The other half's wheels) |
