i havent started the car for 2 days and this morning thought id let it warm up and as soon as i turned the key there was an odd noise and i thought it maybe the water pump or the cambelts gone. But the cambelt is still there even tho there is slight play on it but i dont know if there suppose to have.Anyway its making a horrible noise top could it be the tappets and lifters that have gone?i dont understand it could the weather of done something to it?I know this is gonna cost me but also when i rev the car it quitens down above 2000 revs and when it comes back down the noise continues. And also the temperature went into red even with the fans kicking in has this happened to anyone else i havent drove the car for about 2 weeks any ideas cheers ________________________________________ 306 gti 6 bpl |

Frozen water in your block? Have you got anti-freeze in? Could have broken your water pump internally, hence the noise and it would explain the overheating.________________________________________ 1990 Cherry Red 205 Gti-62000 Mitsubishi Galant V6 |

yeah the water has a blue liquid in it and wasnt frozen on the day i thought it could have been frozen water and damaged the pump as well but the noise is coming from the top of the engine im sure its something more but carnt understand why it would do that at the turn of the key________________________________________ 306 gti 6 bpl |
