I'm planning to be at Croft on the 23rd.
Yes the Clio was very nice.

Croft 23/08/15 Javelin Track Day
Open pit lane, max 105db

Another great day at Croft with only 1 red flag and the rain that was forecast did not make an appearance!

Car handled very well with no problems, managed to test out the camera mount and take some (rather shaky) videos. Might move the mount for next time as the rear view mirror was quite obstructive.

Some very nice cars today included an Audi R8, Jaguar F-Type, 911 GT3 and a very nice (and expensive) McLaren MP4, here are some photos to enjoy...

eyeing up the competition...

That was the last track day for 2015, so time to start work on the supercharger conversion...the quest for more power has begun!

A quick update to show some of the parts starting to arrive ready for the supercharger conversion.

Helix fast road clutch kit:

New silicon water pipes:

3J Plate Limited Slip Differential:
30/90 ramps and 70lbft preload

Injectors:

Supercharger Fitting Kit:

AI Sprays powder coated the engine bracket and supercharger bracket so it fits in with the rest of the engine bay (great job - as normal):

Car is currently up on axle stands waiting for us to do the first jobs on the list, drop the gearbox to fit the new LSD and clutch...

It's been a while since the last update but we've managed to get quite a bit of work done on the car over winter here are some of the key jobs completed:

Gearbox removed from the car and the old differential unit switch out with a shiny new 3J plate LSD. Needed to do remove a small amount of casting to get it to fit correctly.

New Helix fast road clutch kit fitted

Final supercharger parts arrived - thanks to RichW at LynxPowerEngineering for you help in getting all the parts and providing advice.

Dismantled the car to start and fit the new water pipes and the supercharger kit.

Engine mount was already cut to accommodate the supercharger, so just had it powder coated Red (Thanks AI Sprays) and mounted to the car.

New Silicon water pipes fitted

Finally came the time to mound the supercharger into place

Then the power steering pump was fitted in its new location and the oil reservoir for the supercharger was mounted in place.

Radiator and fans were refitted

Now we are trying to find space to fit the intercooler, engine oil cooler and supercharger oil cooler (wish us luck!)
