Leaving work lastnight I started the rallye up, straight away I knew something was up, 10 seconds later POP! The aux belt snapped, and is now wedged... I'm on wy way, tools in hand to see what I can do. But I was wondering, how hard it's going to be to get the new belt on because the old one has broken? ________________________________________ |

It's not hard at all. Just consider yourself lucky that when it snapped it didn't smash through the cambelt housing!________________________________________ Trackday, trackday, trackday |

its not that bad.if you cant free the belt off then undo the auto tensioner and belt should fall off, or at least be easier to get off. then refit tensioner and new belt. you will need a ¼" drive t-bar or ratchet to put into square hole to turn tensioner to get belt on iirc. |

ah in that case its even easier.its the setup i have on my 6. ratchet spanners are a must especially if you have big hands like me lol undo the manual tensionng screw behind the pas pump. take of the roller via two bolts in the wheel arch then get old belt out. |
