As far as im aware it should have the outer CV from the 306 shafts. If you use the 406 ones on it catches the abs sensor.

there's no ABS ring there, looks like the 406 ones have been turned down.

looks like there's a little bit more depth on a 306 engine bay and its sitting further forward, every 205 and 309 I've seen this engine in has needed the subframe modifying as the engine sits so far back.

master cylinder is usually nestled right against or through the back timing belt cover!

Looks nice Carl - aside from that badge-less grill/bonnet which IMO looks odd.

Yes my thoughts exactly, it got to the stage of leave the bonnet as it was or try and find more replacement panels, i decided to leave it as i dont have the extra cash to spend on it, i am sure whoever buys it will either love or hate it.

Yes i think its well noticeable, it just picks up and goeas, only drove it to about 50mph but you can feel the power and its very smooth.

fletch wrote:

Tell me about it Fletch, i must have spent around 20 hours on the car alone, thats without the hours spent on it in the bodyshop and collecting it, you never quite realise how much work needs doing untill you get stuck in, just hope its worth all the effort, i am sure it is.

What are you running around in now, heard a rumour?

I think you should swap this for my 306 Hdi estate! That'll avoid you making a profit debate! LOL

I am sure we can do a part exchange???

Looking good, i like the bonnet and grille. Unlike some others.

What is with the lower cross member? has it just had a bit of box section steel bolted on instead of the original spot welded cross member?

same front end as mine, i like the bonnet and think the grill makes it look really mean, have you had to lift the bonnet a bit at the back? the engine is awesome - cant really fault it, going to get mine serviced - but hopefully someone else will want a v6 project soon Whistle

Yes the lower cross member has been removed and a steel replacement fitted that sits a couple of inches lower.

Bonnet has not bee refixed 100% as its been on and off a few times, will all be sorted at the end.

A few sneaky pictures-

Still got loads of little bits to sort out, as my mate wanted to use the garage last night i stayed late and set about cleaning the bodywork up, removing all the cutting compound and general crap thats left from bodywork jobs.

Starting too look very swish if i say so myself.

Carl
