Updated vid, much better quality imo!Just done what 24seven suggested and nothing sounds untoward, just like i thought it would! Sound's fine dude.Where did you get the fuel hose from? Does that go straight on to the pipe fittings at the side of the cambelt area. ________________________________________ *jay81.Phase 2.5/S-99 Team i live for working,Paying bills and funding my hobbies. From listening to that video it sounds like you've got a fairly smooth runner there. When doing a compression test as long as all cylinders are within roughly 10% of each other, which yours are, then there's nothing to worry about - that engine certainly doesn't sound like it's lost compresion on all 4 cylinders!! Over time piston rings do wear so the pressures will drop a little. If you were to do the test again with wide open throttle those figures would go up. When was the oil last changed? The oil was done about 5k miles ago iirc. I don't know, I've got headphones on and I can definitely pick out a bit of a knocking/deeper sound underneath, not the usual ticking sound from the top.  Mind you these engines always sound pretty dodgy when recorded on a mobile phone ________________________________________ Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch....Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote. Just a bit of thread revival as I have just remembered the final update to this 'problem'. My local garage looked at it and so did a Citroen garage, both say thats its not a tapping problem. Since then she has had a service with some 10w-40 and sounds a lot cleaner  ________________________________________ Ex Astor 6 ownerAlso an Ex owner of a Bianca 6 Now an ex owner of a 2005 9-3 2.0T 210bhp Aero Swedish Saloon thing!!
