Turning the lights on everything at the front is fine, however there is nothing at the rear apart from the number plate light.

Rear lights, brake light, rear fog, rear indicators

None of them come on

is there a specific relay or fuse that can knock them out ?

Thanks

Check for where the lights are earthed?

check fuses, no relay for back lights i don't think, only front lights.. pull seat bench up and check the earth points near where the middle rear seatbelt lower part is. there are a combination of earths there which i believe are the lights and also behind the rear quarter panel on the passenger side

None !

Silly I know but I couldn't work out where they were.

I checked all the wiring connections to the rear light units and also looked at the wiring under the rear seats, all seems ok.

U need to take the earth bolts out.
Clean up the area under the connector then run a tap down the threads.
Maybe put some copper slip on the threads

it will do because the rear cluster isn't working, same happens when a bulb blows.

Ah right, gotcha Mei.

I'm gonna change the indicator stalk and then go from there, unless anyone else has an idea I can try in the meantime

I doubt very much its that, I would unplug the rear light cluster and see if there's power and earth there with a multimeter.

if the whole lot is out I'd guess its either a major earth fault or a plug to the fusebox or similar up front inside is loose.

has the dash been out at all recently? or any wiring been played with near the door looms?

All wiring looks pretty solid, nothing been played about with and dash hasn't been out.

What readings should there be ? Got a multimeter but not used it before, a little explanation would be great, thanks

Sounds like the earth if the number plate lights are still on, as said above earth runs up the passenger side c pillar.

Can be checked with a meter easy enough, turn to resistance and measure between the light cluster and the earth point. If the meter reads 0L the wire is broken so replace, if it reads near 0 ohms then the wiring is fine and it will be corrosion between the wiring contact and the car body.
