can you not stick it near the charger oil cooler? I was thinking of getting an additional oil cooler.

What about using a better oil?

I've got a 19 row Mocal on my N/A Rallye, it's in front of the radiator on the drivers side sat vertically.

Coupled with a thermostatic plate it keeps the oil cool enough now. Silverstone in September saw my temperature getting up around 140 after 1 ½ laps 'on it' as did a local road. Post cooler fitting it's great now.

I got mine from Matt Lewis Racing, link to a similar auction here.

Better oil, im runnin xrp51 purple royal racing, dont think there is better or is there.... shouldnt be at the price it costs.

ive got my intercooler sitting as high as i could so that the boost pipes are just under the cross member, and my charger oil 1 is on top of it, with a bit rubber between them, heres a pic

yeah same setup as mine. Same oil too :S

i would consider asking Rich_w actually. He might know of a good solution with the s/c kits. I was thinking of putting mine below the intercooler between the boost pipes.

Mate if you look at my pic you could modify the washer bottle and place one where the passenger Rallye/blank is or remove/replace the horns and stick one where the drivers rallye black is!

*edit*

with the intercooler you have you could even place them side by side on top of the cooler!

Simples LOL

so you think use 2 coolers or a 16 row cooler? could put them either side of my setup. that would work, not bothered how it looks as long as its not seen and works if you know what i mean

that 205 set up would only work if i butchered the bumper. i cant get rid of the horns as thats where ive got the fan relay hidden

Here is my setup:

I think mine is a 16-row setup.

I would basically get the biggest you can fit in there Yes

And make sure you get a thermostatically controlled sandwhich plate or will over cool the oil when it's not being driven hard.

This is just as bad as over heating oil!

am stumped with fitting mine, its a to long doesnt fit anywhere ive got a space, so dunno what to do, looks like i will end up having to either butcher the slam panel, or something, can try to lift it up higher an hope it clears the bumper but looking at it, no chance, will up load pics later showing the place im thinking but its not ideal, for going off the track, as would rip hoses off the car

I'm considering relocating the battery to the boot, then putting an oil cooler in the space where the battery was. Smile

Also, I've wrecked my boost pipes too; worse than yours though, mine actually had holes in them. I've had another set knocked up made from stainless steel instead of flimsy aluminium. They sit a lot higher now (almost flush with cross member) and if they do ground they'll not be being damaged!
