are they electrical or cable operated to move the flap between full blow over the matrix or partial?
Is there any electrics involved, other than the recirc function and the blower motor speed?
Thanks

Not on my car, on one I'm looking at - the owner says there is no way to cool the car down without opening the window, but the engine temp is fine. I assume this is an issue with the control dials on the heater control panel.are they electrical or cable operated to move the flap between full blow over the matrix or partial? Is there any electrics involved, other than the recirc function and the blower motor speed? Thanks |

Yeah Jim, there's a stepper motor which opens and closes a gate to let either cold or warm air into the cabin. It's incredibly tempremental and I've previously had problems with the loom connector into mine! It's almost directly in front of the end of the centre console trip in the passenger footwell, and mounted almost horizontally - basically a complete b*tch to get at. When removing, make sure your mate removes all the plastic trim that holds it in place carefully as it's a cock to get back together properly (in fact, might be worth taking a few pictures of it first - if he does, please could you post them up for an FAQ) ________________________________________ Trackday, trackday, trackday |

Thanks lads - it's one I'm looking at buying, just trying to work out if its worth it or not. So if I do buy it and sort it out, I'll try and get an FAQ together for it. |

The rallyes use cables to operate the heater setups, the aircon ones are electric with one cable.________________________________________ Dimma + Gt35 turbo =Solid rear beam mounts £130 07889376885 Dan |
