Moved to Engines and thread title changed. These cars do get extremely hot when stationary even for a few seconds. The fans cut in just below 100 degrees, so providing they are working and the temps do not get into the red then I'd say you have no problem. The "fast indicator" syndrome is a bad earth somewhere in the stalk. Remove the steering column cowling and clean the terminals. If it keeps doing it, you may need to change the stalk. ________________________________________ Trackday, trackday, trackday |

glad ive just read this, my six had sufferd with this indicator problem in the past four months, then recently in heavy traffic due to late night christmas shoppers in maidstone mine almost overheated, so turned it off in traffic, clean a few sensors, works fine now but still have the indicator problem some times, now i know why cheers________________________________________ Ph2 Black GTI6Ph3 China GTI6 206 xsi manstone daily runner (GAY) Ph1 Cherry Red GTI6 307 HDi 110 |

The first stage of the fans kick in a 97ish and the second stage is at 110ish I think, but to test both fans are working take the brown sensor out, and both fans should come on, ________________________________________ Ph2 Black GTI6Ph3 China GTI6 206 xsi manstone daily runner (GAY) Ph1 Cherry Red GTI6 307 HDi 110 |

First port of call would be the relay for that fan, remove the trim between the headlights and you'll have access to a triangular shaped box in the vee of the fans. It probably just wants the terminals of the relay cleaning, failing that swap the relays over and see if the fault goes from one fan to the other.________________________________________ Previous Peugeot - 2000(w)GTI-6, Me old China, Supercharged with working aircon! |
