Hello everyone, this is my first post on this site, I have been a member for a while and found it very interesting and informative!!

I have owned a gti6 for bout 6 months now and have loved every min of it. I bought it from my friend who had got it from his dad who had it from new! so i knew it had been well looked after.
It has been lightly modified: eagle f1's and proxes t1-rs, koni and eibachs 30mm and a pipercross viper induction kit.

but i have a problem.....

The last week or so i have developed an oil leak, found a few small patches on driveway so had a look under the bonnet and there seems to be a leak somewhere near the front of the engine bay
on the passenger side and is forming a little pool on the lip on top of my induction kit and dripping down! I have also noticed the oil level is suddenly quite low.

also the car seems to be more 'shuddery' in first gear and when turning the engine off you can hear a sort of clattering noise coming to a halt!! I dont know much about engines so dont know if these two things are related

p.s. used the search but didnt find anythin that sounds the same

Any advice or info would be much appreciated!

Cheers
Dave

Photos might be an idea and you appear to have a stuck full stop button on your keydoarb.Razz

Clutch judder could be due to the oil getting on the plate, although clattering noise could also be the bearing going. Could be rocker gasket as thats quite common.

Welcome Thumbs up

Might not be them though Dave.
You have to buy the covers as the gasket is part of them iirc. You should always ask for a discount if you buy it from Puegeot...

HOW exactly do you do this? I always feel like a t**t asking for discount, it's not like i can say it's for 'trade'.

I always ask for a discount. Like Carl says they can only say no. And I don't stop at Pug garages either. I got 10% off at Comet last time I was buying somethingSmile

when i tried to get a discount at currys when i spent 2k to kit the house out i didnt get one, instead they gave me a bag of dishwasher tablets for free, w*nkers.
to make it worse on the way out there was a sign, but a dishwasher and get free tablets worth

42.50 for a tightening the jubilee clip and the exhaust clamp sounds a tad expensive
