The consumption on my gti6 seems to be getting stedily worse.

I have been driving very carefully since I last filled it up to see if it was me, 65mph tops, not going over 2800rpm and accellerating slowly.
To fill to the top it cost me

Without sounding patronising are you sure its not the gauge.

Mine will drop to half in about 120 miles or so.. sometimes.

But if you run it from full to red it returns about 360 miles.

TPS makes a big difference, but you'd get a veyr laggy throttle. You sure the lambda is the right one and the wiring to it is ok? ECU reset after the lambda?

I'd have to put another tank in the boot to get that.

just under the 330 is the best I've had, from home to exeter, virtually a straight run of 160 miles, and cruising around the 70 mph mark.

Mine did 180 miles at 4k rpm in 6th, but the rest has been B roads (10 miles properly flat out) and A roads. Not much town to be fair.
