hello all lucky fellow owners of the silver lion!
any way, i have just bought a 306 gti-6 on a v, i believe its a phase 3?....
for some reason when im just sat idiling, the car creeps up to 110, just below the red....then a slow fan kicks in, but it never seems to go back down unless i wack the heaters up full.
its fine when im drivingCrazy
i have had the system blead thru properly, so no air lock....Angry

any answers would be greatful.
and any 1 message me if your from cornwall area!

ok, cool....so what does this look like....?!?!
if you was talking vag, im well up there on knowlege but im new to the pug scene, i had a phase 2 dturbo, as a work car. liked it that much i bought a p3 gti-6.

mine does the same thing, it comes down to about 95\100. im changing my radiator and hoping that sorts out the problem.. My guys at pug performance say it just normal. Good luck

yeah mine too. im pretty sure its fine aslong as it does not touch the red!

Every gti 6 will do exactly the same. They are prone too running this hot dude! As long as your fans work they will stop the engine from being damaged, So just roll with itThumbs up

really app the help guys, i was worried.
does the car have 2 fans????
it doesnt sound like the fans going all that quick...my mates 106 sounds like a small air craft!
at what point should the fan kick in?

Yep mine does the same, can be sat in traffic for only a short period of time and you can see it slowly creeping up to 90 deg. Get some air flow to the engine then goes back down to 75 again Smile.

Interesting to know why they run so hot tho

none of my other cars do but they are gttdi and a3 1.8t.....
