And teh front discs & pads, didn't look to bad on the outside face, but this is the inside of it. Not good, huh?! Shock

One thing I've noticed since running the Wilwoods is the lack of apparent wear on the discs. Obviously they are wearing but they are wearing evenly. I'm assuming this is due to a better, more even pressure being applied to the pads by four pistons and not just one??

And yes they do get used hard - when the car does get used LOL

I've often wondered if some of the budget brands are as bad as everyone likes to make out. Some obscure EU legislation states that all aftermarket brake manufacturers have to match OE spec or better it. Not sure if anyone actually checks to make sure that this happens in practice, but it did make me wonder.

Never quite dare put any on my car though!

The legislation states they have to be within + or - 15% of the standard pads.

Which side do you reckon the cheap ones are on? Wink

Ah. That's not good.

I'd be interested to see how good the APEC ones are. That's what a local motor factor was trying to sell to me and he was adament that they were "as good as OE or better". I went for greenstuff in the end and I think they're pretty poor actually!

i have noticed this too, discs are nice and clean and wearing very evenly, the rears that were changed at the same time (and sliders greased etc) however are not looking/wearing as well.

Well, I've run them in now, and they aren't too bad really. Certainly better than what was on there before, but then again it wasn't on the road for 6 weeks so comparing is difficult.
