i have just changed my clutch and clutch cable ,

and my biting point is ridiculously high????

i dont know whats up i first thought that i didnt get the fork behind the bearing but i know i did and it releases ok. but the clutch pedal has to be released nearly all the way to get moving? also car feels a little slower , maybie the cable is making clutch slip??

anyone know why the pedal is sooo high?

Doesn't it have to adjust itself a little bit? Maybe if you give it a bit of time it will work it's way down to a more comfortable position.

Does it feel like the clutch is slipping or is it just loss of power?

i would have thought that it would adjust straight away?,

i wouldnt say loss of power just revs go up quick but not speed dial as it used to?

if it makes any difference i struggled to get the cable on the clutch arm it was real tight.

can you manually adjust the cable??

if you unbolt the 10mm nut in the o/s/f wheel arch you can move the a/c pipes bit. take the cable off the pedal tie a shoe lace ( its stronger ) dissconnect from the gearbox end and repull the cable into the bulkhead. hope it helps

Doen't sound right tbh, should be plenty of cable to easily attach to the gearbox end.

Mine was a complete b*tch to get in the bulk head. The rubber grommit on the end id the hard part. I took it off and put that into the bulkhead first then the canle through. It was much easier that way

Good luck mate. i did mine on my own and the string snapped which made for fun, i got the rage and just pipped the aircon pipes out of there holders and pulled them up a bit, then from underneath used jack handle to prod cable through the resulting gap.
MISSION!!.

im sure you will be fine.

This is a nightmare, I've been at it for ages...I just can't get the plastic bit through the bulkhead. I'm all connected with the lace etc and have gotten past the aircon pipes, am just a bit stuck now.

My biting point is really high too, could any of you guys get some pics up of how the cable should be routed, just to give a rough idea?
