I have recently purchased an engine, gearbox and drive train with very low mileage. The engine was originally in an unregistered car on a Peugeot dealer forecourt which was stolen and recovered by Thames valley police. It was then stored and sold to a contractor and has been sitting in a dry garage ever since. I should know a little more about the exact mileage and specific details shortly.
I am still undecided if I should drop the engine into my 6 which has already had a lot of work done over the last three years ... or to find a second 6 for the transplant. My wife has started to help out with the mechanics and now wants to work on her own 6 I could not have imagined doing this 3 years ago ... so thanks to everyone who has helped out with answering some of the most basic questions The first job is to put in one of Rich_W's lightened flywheels which is arriving tomorrow.
