After each outing in the track car I return to the pits and leave the car running with the bonnet up. There's a slight knocking which stops after a few minutes. Is it shagged ?If so what's my best course of action ? Cheers , Steve |

2 or 3 minutes and it stops. Oil is spot on, plugs are less than 12 months old, not checked coilpacks though. |

Is it little little taps and knocks?if so its just the engine bits like exhaust cooling down and contracting that makes the noises |

82K on the clock which I was told as being correct by the previous owner. If it goes bang then so be it, I'll just have to sort it as and when. I was just enquiring if there was any way other than an engine out to fix a bottom end knock. |

Than again so is removing the whole engine, but as Lotek suggested, eliminate the small tests first before you start pulling her apart. ________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies.
