Had a chance to drive it with the new setup yet? I'd love a passenger ride at some point as I'm not sure wether my 21mm bars are really up to the job on track and would like to see if the 25mm bars are too far the other way. Here are a few picture of my mounts for those that have'nt seen them before. ________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. 25mm torsion bars surely you would need much stiffer springs at the front than those supplied with the V2's to balance things out?________________________________________ *R.I.P Pete Sims* |

You can specify whatever spring rate you want when buying coilovers, the great thing about them is the huge range of spring rates that are readily available. ________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. We've done about 300 miles so far though that was mostly motorway/dc. It's difficult to do a comparison because the previous suspension was pretty knackered. I'd say the 25mm bars are stiff but not anywhere near as harsh as I'd heard they would be and it rides pretty well considering. The KWs are currently set to stiffest front and rear. I'd be loathe to up the spring rate at the front too much as I think it'll just make it more understeery. It needs the tracking done and then should be ready for a trackday in a few weeks time. I really couldn't say how it feels until its been on track, although Jim did his best to test it out on the way home a week or so ago! ________________________________________ Clio 182 FF |

hope you have dampers to cope with 25mm bars, they are a hell of a lot stiffer than you'd imagine from 21's.________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

Farmer has the same setup bar a slightly stiffer ARB and I was hugely impressed with it round the Nordschleife so I'm confident they'll be up to the job.________________________________________ Clio 182 FF |

On the one drive I've had since putting them on they seemed pretty compliant but I probably have a slightly strange idea of what acceptable is! Still running 15s (although 50 profile) so the tyres seem to take the edges off all the bumps too. I need a trackday to form a proper opinion of them. I wouldn't have considered this setup for a road/occasional trackday car.________________________________________ Clio 182 FF |

Thanks. Mine is going to be 98% road and is also running 15"/50s. Its not bad tbh, but is put in the shade comfort wise by the 406. It is quite something when you decide to have a bit of a blast.________________________________________ Nothing to see here |
