Did you manage to get rid of that missfire rapidcossie? I went home from knockhill and earth the ignition amplifier and all is well now!running just under a bar and pulls well with the 6 speed.you`ll have to get soome pics up of those front arms and hubs! saves me jacking up your car at knockhill! You going to tell me where your getting the rears done or is that a secret? ________________________________________ money makes the turbo go round! |

yeah just behind headlight. I got a new coil pack aswell, so I now have a spare coil pack that works fine if you ever need one! also 6 speed box spare inlet manifold with throttlebody, injectors and rail if you ever need them.Is yours got 5 speed diesel box? I used a 306d box and the difference in 6 speed is unreal, gets rid of all the lag! i`d try get 6 speed in yours? ________________________________________ money makes the turbo go round! |

cherry a close ratio box lke the 6 speed isnt ideal for a turbo engine.Due to the short power band you will be constantly changing gear where as you really need a box with more widely spaced gears and you can use the torque to pull thru these gears. This is proved by what you say in regards the lag. the wont be any cos you will always be slightly higher up the rev range in the 6 speed, not ideal for a engine that runs out of puff over 5.5 k revs due to small turbo. would like a shot to try the 6 speed tho, just to compare. |

by all means you can have a shot, I always thought the same by changing gears more etc, but it just seems to make it pull alot more than before, i could be the fact that it is a pretty standard 306 as to before when it was pulling aload of fibreglass and filler with it! When I had the 5speed diesel box, it just seemed to have alot more lag to my friends with the 6 speed and when on the dueller I was pretty even untill 70-80 then he started to pull away and left me. will pop through one night and give you a shot if you want.________________________________________ money makes the turbo go round! |
