you could try re-anealing it, get a blow torch and heat it up till it glows red, then let it cool down and re-fit, thet will soften the copper up asgain and tha chances are it won't leak again, if you struggle to find a replacement that is.

It's the Citroen/Renault one you need from Halfords. The Peugeot one they sell is smaller and is for the engine sump Wink

222132 is the correct part number for the gearbox drain plug and washer. They only sell them as a pair....Yes

Stan.

The parts department in Barnstaple is very good. They can supply washers on their own. I picked up a couple yesterday and they did not charge me anything ... but i am quite a good customer LOL

If you can wait until the 8th we could sort your gearbox out here.

My initial post was only half there. I was thinking you wanted the drain plug+copper washer for the bottom and the overflow plug+copper washer.

Thanks Neil, dont think the overflow plug is leaking so just the drain plug and washer Yes I think i could wait to the 8th as i dont think its leaking very badly, just annoying as i dont think there is a way to check the gearbox oil level is there?

Undo the gearbox level screw and top up the gearbox. make sure the gearbox is level. If you are jacking up measure the front wheel arches first so when the wheel is removed you can jack it level.

Or if you are on an uneven driveway Drain it all into a container. you should see 2.1 Litres. then pour it back in the top again. you can filter out any bits whilst doing this. add some to adjust.

Or just drain and buy 2L from pug.

I will sort out a copper washer for the 8th and we can do the oil change down here.
