Berger had this. Check your manifold-DP flange, probably find the springs missing or fatigued/disjointed. He'd only been replacing a blowing centre too.

HELP! I have this exact problem!

My car has just had a full Jetex system and sport cat fitted, along with a brand new Peugeot exhaust fitting kit (the bit that joins manifold to cat). The exhaust has been fitted very well and is solid (no holes etc.)

When you put any load on the engine the manifold/cat joint blows a lot, I never had this problem with my old system. What could the problem be? Is it possible that the aftermarket CAT is not compatible with the Peugeot fitting kit.

If its not compatible why did who ever fitted it fit it ? seams strange to me ? I'd say its unlikely to be the manifold its self ? Who ever fitted the kit at the cat joint may have not used the correct parts as its a kit used for a few cars and has different length bolts ?

Get it jacked up and have a look

I will have to check the part number of the kit to make sure that Pug sent me the correct kit...

As for compatability, I supplied the parts to the garage (exhaust, cat and peugeot fitting kit) on the assumption that the cat would be the same fitment as a genuine peugeot one. I was just checking that this was a sensible assumption!

Well you would of thought if it didn't fit properly they would have let you know ?

The fitting kit has 3 different pairs of bolts if a remember correctly ? if you use the wrong ones you can't tighten the joint properly as the bolts are to long ?

Best get it in the air and see whats what underneath bud?

Unsure

Ok, so they may have used the wrong bolts then... interesting. The car is at the garage so I can look at it on the ramp there. Cheers.
