What differences are there between the rear beams on different phases and models?

I'd like to build up a new beam with replacement bearings, hybrid arb and the 21mm torsion bars and I've got a couple of beams from Phase 1 D Turbo's that are availible to me.

If I build one up and switch the hubs over from my current beam would it be up to GTi spec or is there anything else I need to consider?

some wont have anywhere to put an ABS sensor, and if they're a drum beam will have shorter stub axles.

I'm unsure if the camber/toe vary on them either, its quite likely so you need to ensure you use a pair of trailing arms.

Is it just the Xsara VTS that has the 21mm Torsion bars or do all Xsaras have them?

I have an 04 Xsara Estate company car and if that has 21mm bars im sure knowone would notice if they were to end up on my 6! Whistle

ZX have them as well, although not sure on the model. Pretty sure some of the estates have them as well. Welshpug will know!

As the torsion bars are external, it's quite easy to turn up at your local French car breakers with a vernier & measure the diameter.

Are all the beam tubes exactly the same?

If my beam has gone can I replace the tube with one from a DTurbo, reuse my trailing arms (replacing the shafts if worn) and keep the GTi-6 spec camber/toe etc? Unsure

Looking on servicebox the 21mm bars look like 515081 (LEFT DIAM 21 VERT CLAIR) and 515082 (RIGHT DIAM 21 VERT CLAIR) and are 90.25 each.

tell them to remove digit and actually check properly Thumbs up

5150 81 and 5150 82, left and right 21mm bars as listed above, are 100% shown on SB for a 306 estate.
