Well, he's finally got the W12 to hang together.

3 bike engines on a common crank, 3.6 litres, 12,000rpm, somewhere north of 520bhp, been snapping cranks all winter but it seemed to go rather well today...

LOL

How can it be a W on a common crank? Thought they were two V engines side by side?

Yes looks more like \|/, 3 banks as opposed to 4, akin to the earliest incarnations of W engines.

from wikipedia:

As above, it's still normally called a 'W' for some reason, god knows why.

Anyhow, I spoke too soon 'cause it's gone pop again LOL
Problem with one of the cylinders heads.

Billet machined crankcase and some very fancy bearings to get all the rods in.

fair play! sounds like a lot of effort. bet it shifts when it's not broken!

is there a website detailling these types of events? seems pretty relaxed in terms of what's allowed to compete, from what I've seen/read of your posts. like a modern day group B equivalent.

Few other pictures from the weekend from various photographers:

Main website is Rallyes ACTU, but each event has local clubs organising it through the main body, so there's loads of supporting sites which have more up-to-date news on them.
