Well my insurance claim is nearly finished so i
will be starting to transfer the mods from my
old 6 to the new one.

Thought i might as well start a project thread
as i have slighty changed direction with how i
want the car to be and i also intend it to be
high boosted before its complete.

My old 6 was completley stripped and didnt even
have rear speakers. I now have only 1 car so
have decided that i will not strip the new one
and will sort out the sound system.

I got a new headunit for Christmas off my missus and my brother and sister.

Installed this a couple of weeks ago and it made
me realise how poor the standard speakers were.
Decided to upgrade the speakers but once i get
started i always get carried away.

Bought a couple of second hand amps a Genesis
Profile sub and a Gensesis Profile 4.

Then after reading jonvandijk's thread decided
to get the rainbow 265 deluxe components and
also decided on a 10" Rainbow hammer sub.

Just as i thought i had spent way too much already
saw Carls install and thought have to have
something similar, as it looks good but is practical as well.

Off down to Leicester this weekend with the
missus for a couple of days so thought it would
be rude not to book myself into Plush Automotive
to get a similar install to Carls.

*Edit* Booked myself into Plush Automotive so
told the missus lets have a couple of days break in Leicester Ninja

Whilst im down there im having a few other
goodies, ive collected, fitted.

Ashs 310mm fitting kit
Hispec 310mm x 28mm rotors
Renault brembo calipers
Exact front/rear braided brake lines
and ferodo ds2500's once they turn up from tweeks

Just purchased a magnex decat off matt86 and
bought a 3" magnex cat back off Carl to replace
my longlige exhaust(I have no idea if i damaged
it in the crash but thought i would get a new
exhaust anyway in case i had)

On my old 6 i had a set of depo black masks
which i bought off someone on here but after
they were smashed in the crash thought i might
as well by some proper cibie ones. These are
en route from bansheemotorsport as i write this. I have also been
toying with the idea of HID's for a while as i
drive mostly in the dark on country roads.
After the rave reviews on here and my incident with the deer i decided it was wise to get some.
The sooner i see them the less likely i will find the nearest rock.

These arrived today.

Will be fitting them as soon as the black masks turn up.

Thats it for now but this thread will be moving
on quickly within the next month as i want to be
finished at the beginning of May.

I was yes. Not that I had the option to buy them anyway.

If I did though, I'd have stuck with what Rich had tried and tested. Reading the thread on them I feel that the amount saved isn't worth the hassle if they aren't upto the job.

Buy cheap, buy twice and so on etc. Wink

Good to see you're on the way to getting back on the road Robin Yes

Every cloud has a silver lining - looks like you'll come back better than ever with all the goodies you've got Big grin

Oh, and more power too Ninja

Just see how the Chinese rods go - they may well be fine. I only went with Saenz as there was nothing else available when I first designed the conversion. Having said that, they do have a very good reputation, I've never had a problem. The price is a downside though. The last set I supplied was
